Debbie has a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration, Administration of Justice from Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri).  For several years she worked in various positions as a paralegal, investigator and performance auditor for several law firms and Missouri state agencies.

In 2003, Debbie left the business world to open her own daycare and spend more time with her own children. Debbie was responsible for all management and license requirements for her daycare business and designed and operated a database system for client, business and tax records.

When her children reached school age, Debbie returned to work outside the home with The Grant Company.  Debbie appreciated the company’s philosophy of  improving professional and education relationships and is excited to be a part of it.  Debbie especially likes the work The Grant Company is doing with schools to help improve the classroom dynamics and make learning enjoyable and natural.  Debbie is thrilled to have an opportunity to pursue her love of writing through the company blog.   In addition to her blogging responsibilities, Debbie’s primary roles include research; data collection and anyalysis; and web development.  Debbie’s blog posts draw from her personal experiences and focus on how your core personality affects your every day life and relationships.  She shares how you can use your own personality traits to improve your education and business success and encourages you to share personal experiences in the Share (comment) section.

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys sewing and writing.  She writes a personal blog, Three Weddings,  about mothering; raising her three daughters; and the joys and trials of parenting a child with Down syndrome.  Debbie is involved with the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City and is the community leader for the Johnson County FRIENDS support group.
